Leigh Pohl

Brand building and powerful creativity, every single day…

Leigh is the co-founder and Managing Director of Lattitude.

Although Leigh graduated from Wits University with a major in Psychology and Sociology, his latent passion for marketing, communication and branding emerged as a student through contact with one of South Africa’s leading creative agencies, Grapplegroup 141.

Leigh’s formative years in client service roles at top agencies which include BLGK Bates and Net#work BBDO, saw him gain invaluable experience working on a score of multinational brands like Danone, Investec, Southern Sun, Castrol, Edgars and Times Media Group. He also spent a number of years in a marketing management role with specialist banking group, Investec.

Following these early years, Leigh has been the driving force behind business development and growth of two of South Africa’s leading brand agencies, successfully growing their business not only in South Africa but across the African continent, including Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia and Mauritius. With his fiery passion and entrepreneurial flair, Leigh was appointed to General Manager and Managing Director of these businesses, leading them for a combined period of 8 years.

Before co-founding Lattitude, Leigh provided strategic brand consulting to the Liberty Group, and spearheaded the development, implementation and management of the corporate identity and environment design standards.

Leigh has worked with brands across all industries, in the private sector and state owned entities, delivering the full spectrum of marketing and brand disciplines, including strategy development, advertising, design, experiential, environmental design, internal communications and digital marketing.

Leigh is driven to make a difference, make an impact and build tremendous brands.


Kyle Wilhelm

Believe passionately, but never forget to have fun…

Kyle is a strategic and multi-skilled creative with a passion for innovation and pushing the limits as seen clearly through his work.

Kyle grew up in Cape Town, and quickly became an award winning student of design. After climbing the local ladder of small design agencies, he made his way to Johannesburg in 2006 and has been responsible for creating and shaping brands that we see and touch every day. Over the last 13 years, Kyle has worked on multinational brands across Africa, and has pushed the creative boundaries for clients that include Neotel, Oando, Standard Bank, Absa, DSTV and Dangote to name a few.

Before co-founding Lattitude, Kyle partnered a small design company named Cure Creative. And prior to that, he was the Design Director of one of South Africa’s leading and longest serving brand agencies. As the Executive Creative Director of Lattitude, Kyle directs and oversees the overall creative efforts by supervising and contributing to the creative development and execution of all campaign elements. He ensures each campaign is compelling, on-message with groundbreaking experiential service delivery. With his broad skillset, Kyle offers the ability to ensure powerfully delivered brands no matter their context.

Excelling in conceptual creation, identity design, print and communications, Kyle is relentless in the pursuit of creative excellence.


Celestine Chetty

Celestine is a passionate people’s person who enjoys working closely with her team and suppliers to achieve the best output for her clients.

She is the perfect hybrid of results-driven marketing and communications professional and energetic socialite, meaning she loves to have fun while getting the job done, but equally enjoys putting her head down and focusing on the task at hand. Celestine has more than a seven years of experience managing leading brands including, Telkom, Refreshhh!, Doctors without Borders, Save the children SA, SAICE (South African Institute of Civil Engineering) and SOS childrens village to name a few. Prior to joining Lattitude in 2017 as an Account Manager, her experience included working at 5th Dimenion and Pangea Ultima. Celestine is an experienced manager who has dedicated her career to helping companies and brands maximize their marketing investments.

Xolani is a multi-skilled creative with a passion for tech and all things digital. With a head full of concepts and ideas Xolani is a maven in graphic and digital design world.

Always eager to learn new things and striving to be on top of his game, Xolani believes that for branding to be successful, it must be both thoughtfully designed and beautifully implemented. He possesses a balanced blend of expertise for both digital and print gained from working on a variety of major brands and corporate initiatives. Before joining the Lattitude team, Xolani was the head of designer at Livity Africa, focusing on youth development, digital training and content creation. Xolani is a passionate twenty something ready to make his mark on the industry. His creativity is fueled by a banging playlist, obsessive crafting and a love for fashion trends. Not to mention a penchant for good conversation.


Luke Wilhelm

Senior Designer

Insight, intuition and visual problem solving… a recipe for success

A highly talented, driven and versatile designer with a proven record of delivering creative and innovative design solutions. Luke began his career in Cape Town nine years ago after graduating in Graphic Design from Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

His drive for excellence and visual problem solving is visible early in his career. Driven for success and to create experiences that transform brands, grow businesses and make people’s lives better, he moved to Johannesburg where he worked at one of the largest advertising agencies as well as Brand Inc Joburg. Within a year at Brand Inc Joburg, he moved to Durban to work closely on Unilever key accounts such as Shield and Vaseline. Luke has built a substantial portfolio and has a keen eye for consumer trends and cutting-edge design. His work includes brands like Nashua, Asics, SARU, Springboks and Vodacom to name a few. Excelling in conceptual creation from identity design to brand activation, Luke’s greatest strengths are his creativity, drive and leadership. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand his creative boundaries.

Nothing is too difficult for the brave

Thalitha joined Lattitude in 2016 as an Account Manager bringing with her a breadth of knowledge and expertise.

Her career started at Storm Communication as an ambitious student studying her Communication Science Diploma. Working her self up the ranks she then joined the client service department as an Junior Account Executive. After a successful 4 years servicing clients to the likes of Old Mutual, Nedgroup Life, Nelson Mandela Foundation and Graca Machel Trust, she moved on to Olive Communication as an Senior Account Executive and was later promoted to Account Manager on the Simba, Albany and Transnet accounts. Thalitha then joined June 15 Brand Movement as an Account Manager working on Quest Staffing Solutions, ArcelorMittal South Africa, Design Institute, Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA).

Thalitha has worked with an impressive array of brands specialising in internal communications, external communications to digital marketing. She is passionate about client service and is always looking to excel in order to give her clients peace of mind.

Kagiso is an innovative thinker whose passion and joy is all things communications. With almost 10 years’ experience in the marketing and corporate communications field, she is reputable for translating business requirements into creative and high impact solutions. To Kagiso, results are what matters most and she is proud to have been responsible for growth in brand affinity in each role she has been involved in.

Her skills in recognising clients’ wants and needs, have allowed her to grow into a confident, organised, prioritised, tactful and skillful professional in building brand awareness and communicating marketing and branding efforts to clients in a wide range of industries including FMGC, financial management, public sector, mining, automotive and IT.

A conceptual and practical thinker, Kagiso relishes any opportunity to document new stories, and has facilitated projects for brands such as the Shoprite Group, National Lotteries Commission, NHBRC, LG Electronics, Unisa SBL and Gemalto.

Prior to joining Lattitude, Kagiso was credited with guiding, and managing the consumer/stakeholder perceptions of brands such as the Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA), PPC, Nestlé, Unisa SBL and Bayer Southern Africa to name a few.  National Lotteries Commission, Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA), LG Electronics, Shoprite Group and Unisa SBL.

Make it happen 

– Charlote Maxeke

This young go-getter started working while studying at university to earn extra cash. During that time working on album art for famous South African hip hop artist L-Tido. In the past few years, Oratile has had the chance to design for small and large agencies while studying, helping him diversify his skills and design techniques which lead to the fact that he can take on anything! Having built a successful portfolio Oratile joined a 6 month internship program at Livity Africa as a designer, where he rebranded the VIP (voting is power) campaign. He then moved to Brand Union where he had the chance to dip his hands into strategy and marketing. Oratile has worked on Vodacom, Standard Bank, Castle Lager, Castle Milk Stout and St. Louis to name a few. Oratile’s journey thus far allowed him to grow as a young designer, but yet he was still eager to learn more. Now at Lattitude, Oratile is well fitted to the world of communication, graduating from Vega with a higher certificate in Brand Building.

Jacques Steenkamp

Production Manager

Understand the demands of delivery and strive for faster turnaround.

Jacques’ journey to discovering the possibilities of print and production began in 1991. A graduate of Photolithography, he continued a whirlwind education through the early years the digital age changing the way we design and create. With work experience in every field of multichannel marketing procurement, he has gained a thorough understanding of the production world, and how to turn great ideas into physical objects.

His role requires a tremendous amount of clarity and patience in the face of tight deadlines and innovative and progressive solutions when challenged by unusual creative ideas. He has forged trusted relationships with a broad network of reliable manufacturers and suppliers, who have all been measured against on-time delivery, uncompromised quality and fair value.


Marcelle Warburg

Marcelle Warburg

Senior Copywriter

Copywriting, concepts and all the strategic stuff in between.

Marcelle graduated from the University of Cape Town with a degree in Linguistics and English Literature. Over the past 10 years she has worked as a strategic and conceptual copywriter at a number of reputable advertising and design agencies in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. During this time, she has lent her skills to creating concepts and copy for both well-known and developing brands alike, working on everything from promotional campaigns, corporate identities and brand guidelines to ambient environments, radio, print and point of sale.

With extensive experience in both the advertising and design industries, she offers through-the-line creative solutions with a focus on creative strategy and conceptual copywriting. Marcelle is passionate about finding the right voice for each brand and using it to talk to people in new and engaging ways.
